Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is home to the Victoria Falls. The famous Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and has been voted the most spectacular falls in the world with a wide range of popular activities and tourist attractions. The falls are 1708m wide and can be seen from both countries that share it as a border Zimbabwe and Zambia.

A big volume of 1 million cubic litres plunges into a big gorge, in a series of amazing cataracts giving a loud roar and rising spray that can be seen as far away as 100km.Thus the name Mosi-OA-Tunya, Tonga for "The smoke that thunders."

Health

There is no specific health requirement however Malaria does occur in Victoria Falls and travelers would be advised to take an appropriate prophylactic. Please ask your travel agent or doctor for advice before you travel.

Weather

Summer runs from October to April, Temperature up to 34°C during the day. Rainy season is from November to March, although the Eastern Highlands may get rain year round.
Winter: runs from May to September Temperature around 20°C (Generally dry and sunny)
